CHECK VISA REQUIREMENTS

Do I need a visa for travel?

Entry and visa requirements are imposed by each government to regulate and keep track of foreign nationals who cross their borders. Whether you are required to apply for a visa before traveling or if you can travel visa-free depends on relationships and agreements between the country of your citizenship and your travel destination. Even if you do not require a visa, there may be other entry requirements, such as an ETA (electronic travel authorization) or digital registration. Confirming the entry requirement is an essential part of planning your trip.

Support Letters

Not just for visa applications - travelers may get through customs faster by carrying the right employment letter or invitation, with host contact info and explaining the reason for visit.

If you are staying as a guest in a private home, make sure you have your host's complete physical street address and contact phone number in writing. (This goes for hotels too, you need to know the full street address.)

When planning travel abroad, the first thing to do is check that your passport is in good condition and valid for at least six months beyond your planned trip and return to the US. You should also have at least two blank pages available for visas or entry stamps. The good news is that you can renew your passport up to a year before it expires, so if you are even just thinking about travel abroad, go ahead and renew if you are nearing that expiration date.
